MEMPHIS, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Elvis Presley’s Graceland will celebrate the holidays this year with a season of Christmas tours, live concerts, the grand opening of the world’s the largest collection of Department 56 villages, and more. Holiday festivities at Graceland kick off during the annual Holiday Lighting Weekend November 16-18 and continue through Elvis’ Birthday on January 8.

Each year, Elvis Presley’s Graceland celebrates the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s love of the season by continuing his holiday decorating traditions throughout the grounds of his home. Outside on the mansion grounds, hundreds of blue Christmas lights lining the driveway, a life-size nativity scene, Elvis’ Santa and his sleigh lawn decorations, and more. The interior of Graceland is beautifully decorated with Christmas décor that includes his traditional red velvet drapes, Christmas trees throughout, and Presley family Christmas artifacts on display.

Guests who visit November 16 through December 23 will be able to enjoy limited-time afternoon Christmas tours featuring live tour guides sharing holiday stories throughout Graceland Mansion daily. On select nights during the season, Graceland will also offer evening Christmas Ultimate VIP Tours for guests who want to immerse themselves in the magic of the mansion grounds with special photo ops. The Guest House at Graceland resort hotel is also offering Graceland Christmas Hotel Package featuring two nights hotel accommodations, afternoon Christmas tours and a Graceland Christmas ornament.

The holiday season officially begins at Graceland during the annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony on November 16 at 6:00 pm. The public is invited to join Santa Claus as he “flips the switch” on Elvis’ holiday lights and decorations. For those who can’t be in Memphis, the ceremony will be streamed live online.

Following the ceremony on November 16, Santa will be available for photos at the official grand opening of the Enesco Gift Shop and Gallery featuring Department 56, located on the Graceland campus. The Department 56 Gallery tells the collectible company’s story through themed displays and vignettes featuring its beloved holiday hand-crafted lighted villages and will feature the world’s largest display of Department 56 villages. Graceland then will rock ‘n’ roll into December during the annual Holiday Concert Weekend with two nights of live shows at the Graceland Soundstage. On Friday, December 1, it is Terry Mike Jeffrey’s salute to the king’s holiday hits with Elvis’ Wonderful World of Christmas concert. Then, on December 2, Dean Z will take the stage with his high-energy Dean Z’s Rockin’ Christmas Show featuring the best rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, and swing Christmas classics.
