The PAX panel submission of “Sex, Sexy & Sexism: Fixing Gender Inequality in Gaming” has been accepted and is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, April 13th at 11:30am in the Dragonfly Theatre. Feel free to tweet/blog/podcast and let the world know if you will be attending this panel.  Official description follows:

The video game market is composed of as many women as men — yet those working in the industry, and the characters we play as, are still predominantly male. What effect does this imbalance have on the games we play and the people who play them? What does video games’ representation of gender say about our culture, and what lessons is it teaching us? Is it good for business? Today’s leading media critics examine what’s working in our games, what needs to change, and why.

Panelists include:

Ken Gagne [Digital Content Developer, Gamebits]
Susan Arendt [Managing Editor, Joystiq]
Brianna Wu [Head of Development, Giant Spacekat]
Samantha Leigh Allen [Fellow, Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Emory University]
Duane de Four [Activist, HowManly.com]
